Your New Company
Our client, a very well-known FinTech company is looking to hire a Cockroach DB SME to build a highly available, highly resilient, high performance central real-time payment infrastructure.
Your New Role:
- Design, build, deploy, test, administer and improve the orchestration and service architecture for CockroachDB Cloud, our CockroachDB database-as-a-service. You bring your expertise and commitment to excellence to build the best cloud database service for our users, partners, and customers.
- Work with the team to build a reliable, high-quality service architecture that stands up to the stringent requirements from our most important customers.
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to design, implement, and deliver features that remove the headaches of database observability for users.
- Make sure DBaaS remains scalable, survivable, and consistent as it rapidly grows.
- Manage the infrastructure for cloud observability services, including running internal production systems.
- Keep a complex system running and solve problems relating to mission-critical services. Successfully monitor CockroachDB in the observability stack.
- Work closely with SRE team, Frontend Engineers, and Database Engineers, you will be part of a collaborative culture striving to make data easy on a global scale, by integrating distributed databases and the cloud with a world-class developer experience.
What You’ll Need To Succeed:
- Must have at least 4 to 6 months experience with Cockroach Database.
- Database Management – Indexing, Tuning, Data distribution, performance management etc.
- Deep knowledge of SQL and NoSQL.
- A passion for working on complex technical products, particularly around the design and implementation of modern, highly available web applications.
- Comfort in understanding how to deliver value within a rapid and iterative, release cycle.
- Experience building collaborative relationships with your colleagues. You enjoy being part of the code review process and partnering with your teammates on complex problems.
- Ideally 6 to 10 years of relevant experience, but the number of years matters less than your previous accomplishments and ability to own large-scale technical initiatives.
- BE/B-Tech/M-Tech in Computer Science or equivalent experience
