Production Supervisor
Location: Greater Lancaster/Bakersfield, CA Area
Position Overview: We are seeking a Production Supervisor for our chemical / water treatment manufacturing facility in the greater Lancaster/Bakersfield, CA area. In this role, you will lead a team of operators and oversee daily production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. You will manage production workflows, assist with troubleshooting issues, and ensure all equipment is operating properly in accordance with established procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide a team of operators, including external partners, in daily production activities, ensuring operations meet expectations and adhere to policies and procedures.
- Plan and coordinate production schedules, ensuring the smooth flow of operations.
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Monitor process instrumentation and perform production planning.
- Ensure safety, legal, and environmental compliance by conducting inspections, training staff, and fostering collaboration across departments.
- Work closely with quality control to ensure products meet quality regulations and safety standards.
- Liaise with maintenance teams to ensure reliable operations, compliance with standards, and a clean, safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership ability.
- Experience with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Basic knowledge of chemistry and lab procedures.
- Experience in a chemical manufacturing or adjacent facility
- Familiarity with SAP, PLC/SCADA systems is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) is desirable.
- Experience with heavy machinery and forklift certification is a plus.
