Intermediate Bilingual Communications Coordinator
Duration: 4 months, approx 40 hours/week
Location: Hybrid, 2-3 days in office (midtown Toronto)
Rate: $25-32/hr.
Position Overview
Our professional services client is looking for a Bilingual Communications Coordinator to join their team over the next 4 months, starting early January. This role is hybrid (2-3 days in office) and approx. 40 hrs/week. Our client is looking for this candidate to enhance their communication strategies and ensure effective messaging across Canadian French-speaking audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement communication strategies tailored for French Canadian audiences.
- Translate key communications materials from English to French and vice versa, ensuring cultural relevance and accuracy.
- Collaborate with PR teams and other department to create compelling press releases and media kits in French.
- Proofread and edit communications materials to uphold high standards of quality and consistency in messaging.
- Provide consultation on best practices for communicating with French Canadian stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience working in a communications / PR role.
- Fluency in French Canadian and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in communications, preferably in a public relations context.
- Strong knowledge of the French Canadian culture and communication styles.
- Experience in writing, proofreading, translating, and editing communications materials is preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to tight deadlines, with an ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
