About the Company:
Leading General Contractor in Alberta operating across Western and Northern Canada with focus on ICI projects.
About the Role:
This is a senior position that will lead, manage and coordinate all phases of concrete and form-work projects from pre-construction to closeout.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining relationships with clients, design community, engineers and other direct and indirect stakeholders both internal and external to the success of the concrete and formwork projects.
- Working closely with the Business Development, Estimation and Project Development teams to bid for and secure new projects.
- Lead the activities in the pre-construction and planning phase and ensuring alignment of plan during the monitoring and closing stages of the projects.
- Work with other stakeholders to maintain construction industry best practices and actively participating in learning and development initiatives for team members.
- Build a system that ensure operational efficiency that supports successful project execution for the concrete projects.
- Build a diverse and high performing team through coaching and creating opportunities for the team to grow.
- Work with senior leaders to maintain the organizations metrics in financial, productivity, safety, quality and schedule goals.
- Promote the organizational values in the team and embody the values when dealing with other internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in construction or engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years in construction with at least 10 years managing concrete projects.
- Estimating experience with a concrete subcontractor is an added advantage.
- On site Project Coordination, or Project Management experience
- Previous experience working on a remote or logistical challenging project
- Experience with Project Planning and Project Management software like Procore, Bluebeam and Last Planner
- Experience with Procore® Construction Management Software an asset
- Willingness to travel to different project locations across Alberta, British Columbia and the Northwest Territories.
