Webuild has won a new contract to deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line and we are currently seeking an Enabling Works Manager
This position is a full-time 100% onsite position at our downtown office.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Enabling Works Manager to oversee operations across all transit locations. The successful candidate will ensure that all construction processes, designs, and practices are consistently aligned and replicated across locations, maintaining the highest quality standards and operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of construction project management.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage construction activities across all transit locations.
- Ensure that each site adheres to the same design standards, operational protocols, and safety measures.
- Coordinate with site teams to replicate successful practices across locations.
- Establish and maintain uniform construction schedules, budgets, and quality standards across all sites.
- Develop and enforce consistency in project deliverables, materials, and methodologies.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Lead and guide site managers, foremen, and subcontractors to achieve cohesive project execution.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between teams at different sites.
- Provide mentorship and training to ensure adherence to company protocols and standards.
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure construction meets company and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations at each location.
- Address any discrepancies or issues promptly to maintain project timelines and budgets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring their requirements and concerns are addressed.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, and vendors to maintain consistent project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 7-10 years in construction management, with experience overseeing multiple sites preferred.
- Proven track record of ensuring consistency across complex projects.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in construction software and project management tools.
- In-depth knowledge of construction standards, safety regulations, and permitting processes.
