Work with a Global leader in the Food and fragrances industry as an Applications Laboratory Technician supporting solutions that match the demand for clean, organic and natural ingredients. This is an amazing opportunity for a recent graduate with some testing experience to gain professional industry experience while working with one of the biggest companies in the flavor and fragrances industry!

Schedule: M-F 1st shift

Pay Rate: $25/hr

Location: Elgin, IL

Responsibilities :

• Prepare seasoning samples as requested for customer briefs, applications needs, technology performance assessment, QC standards, physical testing, etc.
• Provide timely seasoning samples for other labs and functions
• Maintain all required formula records and brief documentation in company database software.
• Maintain organized and updated stock of raw materials in the Laboratory
• Maintain organized collection of seasonings in the lab for immediate response to briefs and applications requests
• Assist in applying seasonings to food products when assigned
• Participate in the evaluation of seasonings in food products and provide seasoning performance feedback
• Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment in accordance with EH&S policies and good laboratory practices

Education/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food science, Chemistry, Biology or other life sciences.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience within food testing
• Knowledge of lab equipment and handling chemicals used to perform lab functions.
