Role & Responsibilities:
As a Track Operations Technician, you will support traffic safety by reviewing test course booking forms, attending test course scheduling meetings, and conducting test team safety observations. You will also support test course activities, including special events (high speed, closures, key person rides) and track observation. Additionally, you will assist with driver training by performing driver training sessions, setting up and tearing down driving courses, and using instrumentation in training vehicles.
Skills:
- Advanced driving skill a plus (high performance and precision driving)
- Proficient with Excel and Word
- MVR required for driving, and will need to train on the forklift – will train onsite
- Check track condition, get anything cleaned, if necessary, close tracks one at a time for cleaning activities.
- Keep in touch with TC (track control)
- Approve track control to put track on “caution”, ensure gates are secure.
- Empowered to shut down the track if needed
- Must be mature and confident to manage track safety, potentially being the first responder in case of an incident or accident.
- Good mechanic skills are beneficial but not required
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Driver’s License - MVR required
- Must be willing to train on ATC Fork-Lift
