Security Engineer | 6-Month Contract + Extensions | Hybrid (Boston or Atlanta)

We are working with a law firm to find an experienced Security Engineer to join their team in Atlanta. Responsibilities:

• Lead critical initiatives to secure our systems, assess vulnerabilities, and respond to evolving threats.
• Assess current security policies, procedures, and systems, recommending enhancements where necessary.
• Conduct thorough security audits, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents swiftly and effectively.
• Implement measures to protect sensitive client and firm data.
• Provide technical guidance on compliance with regulations and security standards.
• Create detailed reports and recommendations for long-term security improvements.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record in cybersecurity, ideally within legal, professional services or regulated industries.
• Expertise in threat detection, incident response, and risk mitigation.
• Proficiency with tools and frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.
• Strong knowledge of encryption, firewalls, and network security best practices.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results within a defined timeline.
