The Specification Engineer will play a vital role in advancing our client's position in the building wire sector with the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge solutions, engage with diverse stakeholders, and actively participate in the growth of our building wire product line. Regular travel to our manufacturing sites, customer/job sites, and tradeshow support will be top priority, with up to 50% travel.


WHAT we need you to do.

  • Work closely with the sales team to achieve market growth and ensure effective delivery and support of our client's building wire products.
  • Build current product awareness and understanding and support new product development.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, engineering conferences, and marketing events.
  • Identify training needs and provide guidance to promote product knowledge and effective promotion.
  • Work with engineering team on product specifications, applications, and contribute towards product refinement.
  • Serve as an expert advisor on different theoretical topics and case studies at conferences and technical meetings.
  • Research, measure, and monitor competitor market share to enhance the reception of the company’s product in the market.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


WHAT you need to possess.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Architecture, or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • PE preferred, but not mandatory
  • 5+ years of experience engineering/designing electrical systems within the construction industry
  • Product Knowledge in wire manufacturing is mandatory
  • Understanding of IEEE Standards
  • Experience analyzing drawings and specifications
  • Self-motivated with strong prioritization and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with a preference for design experience.
  • Capable of leveraging industry expertise and contacts to capture sales and grow the company’s market share.
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with key decision-makers.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to various stakeholders, including customers, prospective clients, trade organizations, contractors/builders, inspectors, team members, team leaders, and top management.
  • Organizational networking capabilities with the ability to share best practices across cross-functional teams, multiple cultures, and regions.

This position would be considered REMOTE, but ideally looking for a home office located near Dallas, Texas or Tampa, Florida.
