Job Description

People Architects is excited to recruit an Human Resources Manager for our client, an educational facility focused on assisting students with mild to moderate autism, anxiety, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences find success.


We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee key areas such as compliance, compensation, benefits, safety, and employee relations. You’ll support the organization’s growth by implementing HR strategies, guiding management, and ensuring HR needs align with business goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and administers programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Partner with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs and laws.
  • Establish and maintain an in-house employee training system that addresses organization training needs.
  • Run competitive market research to establish pay practices and pay rates that help to recruit and retain superior staff.
  • Oversee benefits selection process when changes are considered, including analysis of health insurance benefit programs, 401K programs, etc.
  • Design, direct and manage an organization-wide recruitment process that addresses issues such as succession planning, superior workforce development, key employee retention, organization design, and change management.
  • Identify and monitor the organization’s culture so that it supports the attainment of the organization’s goals and promotes employee satisfaction.
  • Work with leadership to analyze, and update the organization’s salary and benefits budgets.
  • Establishes and leads recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior staff.
  • Manage the development of a Human Resources Information System, including the involvement in software selection when necessary.
  • Review current developments, changing legal requirements, and technical sources of information related to job responsibility.


Qualifications (required and preferred):

  • Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, ideally in a not for profit environment.
  • Ability to work independently and perform human resources duties with a minimum need for direct supervision.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and skill in database management and recordkeeping.
  • Independent and innovative self-starter who can display an ability to learn rapidly and adapt quickly changing situations
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, strategic and organizational skills.
