Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless flow of materials, efficient production schedules, and timely delivery of finished goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and engineering skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of supply chain processes within the manufacturing and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with manufacturing and global sourcing objectives.
- Oversee inventory levels to balance availability, cost control and reduce excess and obsolete items
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Collaborate with logistics providers to optimize shipping processes
- Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain process
- Manage inbound logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly.
- Monitor key supply chain metrics and provide regular performance reports to leadership.
- Use data to identify trends, forecast demand, and support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Qualifications (Required and Preferred):
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, Business
- Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of supply chain management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- with global sourcing, importing and logistics experience a huge plus.
- Strong make vs. buy decision making skills
- Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS, CSCP, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Proven track record of driving efficiency and cost savings in supply chain operations.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
