Job Title : Business Development Representative – Energy Solutions

Position Objective :
We are seeking a dynamic, sales-oriented individual with experience in selling to the commercial construction and real estate development industry . The ideal candidate will have a technical background in high voltage systems, power systems, or sub-metering and a proven ability to engage with commercial builders, developers, and contractors. This is a client-facing role that requires a strong hunter mentality, technical acumen, and the ability to deliver tailored energy solutions to meet the unique needs of our clients in the construction industry.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Build and nurture relationships with commercial builders, developers, and construction professionals.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the commercial construction sector.
- Understand clients’ technical and operational requirements, particularly for high voltage, power systems, and sub-metering solutions.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations, articulating the benefits of our products and services tailored to the construction industry.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop and propose technical solutions that meet customer specifications.
- Actively manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and quoting to closing deals and securing signed proposals.
- Travel to job sites, offices, and project locations to present solutions, conduct product demonstrations, and provide technical support.
- Provide market intelligence, including pricing trends, competitor activities, and bid opportunities, to stay competitive in the market.
- Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to exceed revenue goals.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions, proposals, and project timelines.
Required Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales role focused on the commercial construction industry or related sectors.
- Familiarity with high voltage systems, power systems, or sub-metering technologies .
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.

- Proven ability to build relationships and establish trust with commercial builders and developers.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, presenting a professional and positive image.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle objections effectively.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in sales of energy management solutions, building automation systems, or other technical products in the construction sector.
- Familiarity with the Toronto commercial construction and development market.
