We seek an SQL Server DBA role in North York, Ontario, Canada.

Title: Database Administrator - Senior

Location: (5700 Yonge St, North York, Ontario, Canada

Must Haves:

• Proven experience in managing, upgrading, and maintaining SQL Server databases, including patching, backup, and recovery processes.
• Strong skills in identifying and resolving database performance issues, implementing optimization techniques, and setting up proactive alerting and monitoring tools to ensure high availability and stability.
• In-depth knowledge of database security best practices, including regular patching, access control

Responsibilities:

• Creates physical database designs and operates and administers the database management system (DBMS) including database optimization, capacity planning, installation and migration, database design, performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
• General Skills Experience with one or more operating systems Experience with one or more database technologies
• Experience in one or more programming languages
• Experience in the use of information retrieval packages and proficiency with query languages
• Experience in monitoring and enforcing database rules
