Job Description

Job Title: Tool and Die Repair Technician


Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform die tryout runs and support first-piece approval processes.
  • Diagnose and resolve production process issues, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Repair and maintain dies following company standards, ensuring quality and performance.
  • Assist in die modifications to meet quality requirements and manufacturing specifications.
  • Fabricate components, including punches and sections, based on engineering drawings.
  • Operate advanced Tool Room equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team leaders to drive operational efficiency and product excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS/EMS) and industry standards such as TS-16949 and ISO-14001.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across operations.


Qualifications:

  • Expertise in shop math, measuring tools, and basic SPC (Statistical Process Control).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Proven commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Ownership of essential tools for die repair.
  • Prior experience in automotive manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience with overhead cranes and Hi-Los a plus.
  • 2-5 years of tooling/die repair experience in a manufacturing setting.


Schedule:

  • 40-60 hours per week, with occasional overtime and weekend work as required.
  • 8-10 hour shifts


Compensation & Benefits:

  • $28.00 - $36.00 per hour (DOE)
