Expectations and Job Summary

Schwob Energy is seeking a Full-Time Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. This role will play a pivotal part in our HR operations, assisting with various HR-related functions such as benefits administration, payroll support, and compliance management. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment and share our commitment to excellence in service delivery.

Responsibilities & Duties

The HR Coordinator will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks:


  • Assist in the coordination and support of HR processes and programs.
  • Provide essential administrative support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, auditing expense reports, and inventory management for supplies and catering.
  • Process and maintain accurate records, including both paper and electronic HR files, unemployment claims, employee service rewards, and other relevant documents.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR systems and processes.
  • Handle the receipt, distribution, and completion of Department of Labor unemployment-related documentation.
  • Support recruitment activities including sourcing candidates and scheduling interviews.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding HR policies and benefits during onboarding.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and respond to benefits-related questions.
  • Maintain compliance-related documentation and assist in background checks and reference verifications.
  • Organize and manage employee records with a keen focus on confidentiality and accuracy.


Qualifications and Core Competencies

The ideal candidate will embody the following qualifications:


  • 2-3 years of relevant HR experience, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Payroll experience is a plus.
  • A strong passion for human resources and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Flexibility in availability to accommodate business demands.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint); experience with Spectrum is a plus.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across various departments.
  • Excellent customer service orientation coupled with strong follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding oral, written, presentation, and listening skills.
