Salary: $52,000 - $55,000 per year (Base) + Commission and/or Bonus Opportunities

As we pursue ambitious growth goals, we are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Specialist to play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, revenue streams, and service offerings.


Job Summary:

The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and scaling Valor Protection’s market presence. This role combines sales expertise with strategic thinking to drive revenue growth and operational expansion while ensuring the agency’s reputation as a trusted safety and security partner.


Key Responsibilities:


Client Acquisition and Revenue Growth:

  • Identify and target potential clients in industries such as corporate offices, residential communities, retail, events, and industrial sites.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive prospecting plan, leveraging networking, cold calling, referrals, and digital outreach to generate a strong pipeline of leads.
  • Customize service packages to address client needs, highlighting premium options like VIP protection, event security, or risk and threat assessments.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by closing new contracts and renewing existing agreements.
  • Introduce value-added services such as recurring risk assessments, employee safety training, and 24/7 monitoring to existing clients.


Strategic Partnerships Development:

  • Cultivate relationships with business leaders, real estate developers, property management firms, and municipal agencies to establish long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with local police departments, neighborhood associations, and community groups to enhance brand visibility and trust.
  • Develop joint marketing campaigns with complementary service providers, such as facility management companies, to create mutually beneficial referral networks.


Scaling Revenue and Operational Expansion:

  • Identify and secure high-value contracts, focusing on larger-scale clients and emerging markets such as healthcare facilities, tech startups, and entertainment productions.
  • Strategize and implement geographic expansion into high-potential areas like Cobb, Gwinnett, and Clayton counties while maintaining a strong Atlanta metro presence.
  • Work with leadership to design scalable revenue strategies, including subscription-based models for recurring services and bundled service packages.
  • Leverage advanced technology, such as AI-powered surveillance and mobile reporting apps, to enhance offerings and attract tech-forward clients.


Market Research and Strategy Development:

  • Conduct thorough market analysis to understand industry trends, identify target demographics, and assess competitive positioning.
  • Stay informed on emerging security needs, such as cybersecurity and hybrid event security, to align service offerings with client expectations.
  • Use data-driven insights to develop proposals and strategies that address market gaps and highlight Valor Protection’s strengths.


Client Relationship Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for new clients during onboarding, ensuring seamless transitions and high satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with existing clients to address concerns, gauge satisfaction, and identify opportunities for additional services.
  • Build and maintain trust with clients through transparent communication, consistent follow-up, and exceptional service delivery.


Community Engagement and Branding:

  • Represent Valor Protection at networking events, community workshops, and industry conferences to promote brand visibility.
  • Strengthen community ties through initiatives like sponsoring safety workshops and supporting local police department events.
  • Contribute to thought leadership by creating content on industry best practices, trends, and the value of premium safety and security services.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the safety and security or service industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Strong understanding of the Atlanta metro market and its business landscape.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
