Job Opportunity: Senior Project Engineer – Municipal Infrastructure
I am seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Engineer to join an established civil firm in the Chicago suburbs' Construction Engineering team! If you have 5+ years of experience in Municipal Civil Engineering and a passion for managing projects from design through construction, this role could be your next career step. You’ll focus on municipal infrastructure projects, overseeing everything from pre-project planning to construction layout and resident engineering. Strong communication with municipal representatives and governmental agencies will be key to your success. The role has the potential to evolve quickly into a Village Engineer position.
Key Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Municipal Civil Engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer License (preferred)
- IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities Certification (preferred)
- Familiarity with IDOT, MWRDGC, and County Submittals (preferred)
- Experience in Transportation & Infrastructure projects
- Proficient with AutoCAD & Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills and team player mentality
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
