Job specification - Provide high-quality, immediate care to patients in the emergency department, addressing a wide range of medical conditions.
- Quickly assess and triage patients based on the severity of their condition, ensuring that urgent cases receive priority attention.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and operate medical equipment as required.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, progress, and responses to treatment, and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and ongoing care needs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and hospital standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous enhancement of emergency department services.
Candidate requirements - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department or acute care setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in urgent situations.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
