Certification Details BLS ACLS Job Details Unit Information: (E5 CARD) Location: 509 Biltmore Ave., Asheville, NC 28801 Floor: 5th floor Building: Owen Heart Center (Heart Tower) Number of Beds - 40 Type of staff: Day Shift – 1 Charge Nurse/10 staff/bedside nurses/4 PCTs/1 Unit Secretary Night Shift – 1 Charge Nurse/10 staff/bedside nurses/3 PCTs Patient Ratios – 1:4; stretch staffing at 1:5 ratio Type of patients: patients with CHF, MI, CP, arrhythmia, Pulmonary Hypertension; valvular disease, endocarditis; DKA; post cardiac cath/stent; post pacer/ICD/ablation. Type of equipment: Zoll, Baxter pump, lift equipments, bladder scanner; EMR - Cerner Typical hiring profile: Must have: Stepdown or progressive care experience, Telemetry experience, Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications like nitroglycerine, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutrex, insulin drip, heparin, bumex/L Lasix; etc. Job Requirements Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Preferred or nice to have: Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin).
