Akkodis is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer in Clearwater, FL. This role focuses on engineering activities associated with the manufacturing process. Ideally, you will plan and execute tasks related to production process development, including creating work instructions, tooling, and validating process development. The role offers some autonomy but primarily focuses on the execution of activities within established guidelines, requiring judgment with guidance.
Pay Range: $30-$40/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Type: 6+ months contract
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize production processes, including creating detailed work instructions and designing tooling.
- Ensure the successful development of manufacturing processes by validating their efficiency and effectiveness.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines, particularly in technical document writing and CAD software.
- Utilize prior experience and technical expertise to execute policies and strategies related to manufacturing processes.
- Understand how your team’s work integrates with other departments and contributes to overall operational success.
- Use judgment to propose solutions that may fall outside of standard procedures but with guidance. Solve straightforward tasks by leveraging on-the-job training and technical expertise.
- Access internal resources and use analytic thinking to solve manufacturing problems.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills while contributing as an individual contributor.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience working with Fuji SMT (Surface Mount Technology) equipment.
- Experience in technical writing, process development, and training others in manufacturing environments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with an emphasis on technical writing.
- Proven ability to document, plan, and execute programs effectively.
- Ability to train and mentor team members on process development and equipment use.
