Electrical Controls Engineer:

We are currently seeking skilled Electrical Engineers to design and program industrial control panels, electrical systems, and automation equipment for our client in the Jonesboro, AR area. This role involves developing electrical schematics, panel layouts, and PLC/HMI applications while ensuring accurate documentation. You will troubleshoot and resolve electrical and control system issues related to custom-engineered products. Additionally, you’ll collaborate on system design, equipment specifications, and project proposals for customer-facing solutions.


  • Responsibilities: Develop and design industrial control parrels and electrical control systems for use in industrial
  • machinery and material handling systems
  • Develop electrical schematics and panel layout drawings with a full bill of materials
  • Perform programming (create new and modify existing) of control devices including PLCs, HMls
  • and VFDs
  • Ensure all changes and modifications are appropriately documented and noted correctly
  • Develop electrical schematics for conveyor type systems using 2-D CAD software.
  • Create PLC ladder logic for multiple types of PLCs
  • Create HMI applications.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues pertaining to the Company's engineered products
  • Perform electrical engineering and design for the application of equipment into an overall
  • material handling system.
  • Generate specifications, system layouts and Bill of Material for the procurement, manufacturing,
  • and installation of the equipment.
  • Assists in the preparation of quotes and proposals to present to customers.
  • Create specifications for special features.
  • Requirements: Minimum 2-yr degree in the field of Industrial Controls, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience in related engineering field
  • Must be computer literate and competent in the use of the MS-Office Suite, and have a working knowledge of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD)
  • Must possess excellent communication (oral and written), organizational and time management skills
  • Must have strong attention to detail and thorough follow up and follow through
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with understanding of automation
  • Working knowledge of debug instruments (digital multi-meter, amp meter, etc...)
  • Preferred: Experience in industrial controls and system integration with a strong focus on software design and programming
  • Experience in programming and implementing PLC's, AC/DC motor drives, HMls and industrial component networking
  • Working knowledge of Ethernet networks and networking
  • Working knowledge of NEC 70, NFPA 79 and U.L. 508A
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics systems
