About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of providing access to Jewish life for individuals with blindness, low vision, or print disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic, financial, and operational management of the organization, with a strong focus on community engagement, leadership, and fundraising. This role requires a passionate and dedicated individual who can build and nurture relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including other organizations in the accessibility space, and who can effectively communicate the vision and mission of the organization. The Executive Director will also be tasked with ensuring the continued growth and impact of the organization, as well as the development and implementation of quality programs that meet the needs of the community served.Key qualifications for the Executive Director position include at least 10 years' experience in a nonprofit setting, with a proven track record in team management, strategic planning, and financial acumen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fundraising, marketing, and public relations, and be an excellent communicator with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders. A genuine passion for the mission of the organization, as well as a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, is essential. While not mandatory, experience working with individuals with disabilities and knowledge of Jewish culture and literature are considered a plus. The role demands an entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative leader who can drive the organization forward and ensure its continued success.
