About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to the Institute. This includes overseeing the development and execution of research programs, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment, and engaging with the scientific community, government agencies, and the public to promote the Institute's mission. The Executive Director will also be tasked with financial management, fundraising, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.Applicants for the Executive Director position at the Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology should have a Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant field, with a strong background in marine and environmental research. The role requires a proven track record in leading and managing a multidisciplinary research team, as well as experience in strategic planning and execution. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively represent the Institute and build partnerships. A deep understanding of the funding landscape for scientific research, including experience in grant writing and fundraising, is essential.
