About the Role
The Company is seeking a strategic and visionary Unit Business Officer (UBO) to join their team. The UBO will be a key leader in budget financial management, operations, and stewardship, with a focus on aligning vision and strategy with the CIO's and the company's goals. This role is pivotal in driving decision-making and problem resolution within the CIO's unit, particularly during the transition to a new technology hub. The successful candidate will be a strategic business partner for budget and financial management, as well as for facilities and operations administration, and will serve as a central point of contact representing the CIO's initiatives and plans.Candidates for the UBO position at the company should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a master's degree and/or CPA, and at least 5 years of experience in managing and administering a successful business services program. The role requires demonstrated experience in leading change, designing business systems and processes, and engaging employees and customers. Key attributes for this position include accountability, judgment, change management, communication, collaboration, leadership, and strategic thinking. The UBO will be expected to have the highest standards of personal and professional excellence, and unquestionable integrity, and to operate effectively in a diverse community. Experience in a higher education environment is also a preferred qualification.
