Banque is looking for a chocolate and pastry production assistant to join our pastry kitchen team. We operate a retail boutique in Hudson, NY and sell through our e-commerce site. Banque is a chocolaterie, gelato, cocktail bar, and restaurant in Hudson, NY. We draw on the best elements of confectionary from around the world, while simultaneously using the abundance of local ingredients the surrounding Hudson Valley has to offer. We believe chocolate is as much a feast for the tastebuds as it is for the eyes; it’s an experience.
We are currently looking for pastry cooks who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our company as we open and expand. Experience in pastry kitchens necessary. Chocolate experience is helpful.
Description:
- Production of all Chocolate and Gelato for our boutique and website sales
- Assist in developing items for boutique and e-commerce
- Work diligently to produce the highest quality product with best shelf life
- Update head chocolatier on inventory and reordering needs
- Maintain a well-organized production space with safety protocols and hygiene practices
- Maintain the highest standard of hygiene and organization
- Reports to Head Chocolatier and Executive Chef
Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Great communication skills
- Strong chocolate skill with an emphasis on technical knowledge
- Love of pastry and chocolate with a commitment to excellence
- Eager to work with high-quality and locally produced ingredients
- Great time management
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance
- Problem solver able to come up with efficient solutions
- Ability to stand and work for shifts of 8+ hours
- Available to work holidays and weekends to cover shifts as necessary
