Job Title: Receptionist

Location: Rockville, MD

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent

Salary: $19-20hr

Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting visitors, managing phone calls, and performing various clerical duties. This role requires excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to ensure a positive experience for all visitors and callers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome visitors as they arrive at the office.
• Answer and direct phone calls using a four-line phone system.
• Take messages and ensure they are delivered promptly.
• Handle mail, including opening, sorting, and ensuring it gets to the post office.
• Assist with clerical tasks such as scanning documents.
• Manage company cell phones, including dealing with the Verizon representative and handling exchanges for employees.
• Provide backup support for other office staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in using a multi-line phone system.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• Friendly and professional demeanor.
