Role

Reporting directly to the CLO, this position will oversee comprehensive healthcare regulatory compliance for the company's franchised brands. This includes advising on federal, state, and local healthcare laws, negotiating vendor agreements, and ensuring compliance with advertising standards, patient privacy laws, and risk mitigation strategies. This is a hybrid role in Irvine, CA with 1-2 days per week on-site.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance by advising on relevant healthcare laws and regulations (Anti-Kickback, HIPAA, FDA, Stark Law, etc.)
• Draft and negotiate agreements with vendors and maintain a library of template documents.
• Provide legal guidance on patient interactions, advertising compliance, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor changes in healthcare laws, advise on best practices, and ensure compliance with patient privacy and health records regulations.
• Manage compliance programs and assess insurance coverage.
• Support M&A activities from a healthcare compliance perspective and supervise legal professionals.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active license (CA bar strongly preferred)
• 4+ YOE directly advising on healthcare regulatory issues
• Deep understanding of healthcare laws and regulations
