This role will also directly support the Legal Department in efforts of corporate compliance, contract administration, corporate governance, and general risk mitigation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Human Resources team to ensure company policies and processes align with current employment/labor laws, including updating or developing new policies and sharing relevant information.
  • Develop and implement an audit schedule for regulated Human Resources practices to identify and address potential compliance risks. Implement recommendations, remediation, and action plans based on audit findings.
  • Assist in analyzing employment-related data and preparing required reports. Compile raw data into actionable reports to support the needs of the Human Resources and Risk Departments.
  • Support the Human Resources Department in strategic long-term planning and compliance program development, focusing on procedural improvements and best practices in line with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and objectives.
  • Provide assistance and recommendations in drafting performance corrective documents, internal investigation findings, termination letters, and other sensitive correspondence that require careful scrutiny under employment laws and industry regulations.
  • Support the development and implementation of the company-wide OSHA program through collaboration with the Risk Department.
  • Support in-house counsel and business leaders in drafting, reviewing, redlining, and implementing company policies and processes focused on facilitating compliance, including assistance with maintaining an up to date and current Employee Handbook.
  • Support the Legal Department in drafting, reviewing, and redlining contracts and other sensitive and/or regulated correspondence intended for internal and/or external use.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating in a corporate environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of regulatory compliance in a highly regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resources best practices, and understanding of state and federal employment & labor laws including, but not limited to FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, and other DOL regulations.
