Our client in the public sector is seeking a contract based Senior Security Architect focused on setting up and and design of key security infrastructure components.

Location: Hybrid Toronto (2d/week)

Duration: 6 months + 6 months ext

Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day management and configuration changes of security infrastructure. Maintainthe hardware within the security infrastructure. This will include firewalls, proxies, load balancers, remote access gateways, network scanners, and detection tools.
• 2Maintain an understanding of current IT security risks and vulnerabilities. Keep abreast of new behaviors by threat actors to ensure the infrastructure is not vulnerable and potential threat risks mitigated.
• Monitor enterprise infrastructure, security products, network usage, performance, and capacity, and perform trend analysis for infrastructure improvements.
• Provide assistance and technical support in the planning, assessment, design, build and implementation of upgrades to existing networks, and enhancements or additions of future enterprise security technologies.
• Conduct research and evaluations of enterprise hardware and software solutions and make recommendations.
• Conduct, update and improve reviews of documentation, manuals, standards, and procedures.
• Respond to client inquiries, investigate, and analyze problems, and develop solutions and/or action plans.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in computing and information security, including experience with security technology and remediation of Security Incidents.
• Expert level technical proficiency with F5 LTM, APM, ASM, GTM
• Proficient technical experience working with large enterprise clustered high-availability firewalls, load balancers and proxies, including Checkpoint, Broadcom ProxySG, Zscalar ZIA.
• Advanced understanding of networking technologies and information security best practices.
• Advanced knowledge in Network, Web and Authentication protocols to perform network traffic / packet analysis
• Experience in performing and overseeing technical vulnerability assessments of I&T environment.
• Technical experience working with LAN/WAN wired and wireless network and security technologies in a large enterprise environment.
• Technical experience building clustered enterprise network and Cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Working technical experience in administering remote access infrastructure.
• Working experience with programming language such as Unix/Linux/Windows shell script, Python
• Demonstrated familiarity with intrusion detection and vulnerability assessment in perimeter networks.
• Familiar with theories and requirement of enterprise information security, cloud security, network security, application security, cryptography, and key management
