Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team and represent our Canadian entities.


Position Overview:

As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Canadian operations under the supervision of the HR Manager. You will manage various HR functions, ensuring compliance with legislation, fostering employee relations, and supporting the development of our workforce. This position requires collaboration with US teams and may involve bi-weekly day trips to the Eastern Townships.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and selection.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in accordance with Canadian legislation.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Foster positive employee relations and address employee concerns effectively.
  • Design and implement training and career development programs for employees.
  • Create, enter, and maintain employee profiles in the HRIS.
  • Administer employee benefits and support payroll functions during PTO coverage.
  • Collaborate with US HR teams to ensure alignment in processes and practices.
  • Provide support to managers in various HR-related matters.
  • Travel for day trips once or twice a month as required.
  • Participate in organizing corporate events.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR generalist roles.
  • Bilingual (English and French) is a must.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and other relevant HR tools.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
