Job Description: Python Developer/ Senior Fixed Income Application Developer

Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid-2day/week on-site)

Job Type: Full time/ direct hire

What You Can Expect:

• Design and implement investment decision-support services across various fixed-income domains.
• Maintain and enhance portfolio management applications using Java and Python.
• Collaborate closely with quantitative solutions teams and other front-office investment groups.
• Build and maintain critical application services for front-office systems.

What You Will Bring:

• 6+ years of experience developing front-office and related applications.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Strong knowledge of fixed-income markets.
• Proactive attitude with a strong sense of ownership.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Extensive experience with SDLC tools, including Git, Jira, Docker, and Jenkins.

What Will Set You Apart:

• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Development experience with Java or C++.
• Familiarity with financial market data such as Bloomberg, S&P, Moody’s, and ICE datasets.
• Knowledge of investment universe customization and back-testing methodologies.
• Direct experience supporting front-office end-users, such as Portfolio Managers and Quants.
