Litigation Secretary
As a Litigation Secretary, you’ll manage a variety of tasks to ensure smooth case handling and attorney support. This includes:
- Drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documents, forms, and correspondence.
- E-filing on ECF and other platforms, ensuring compliance with Federal and State court rules.
- Preparing tables of authorities and tables of contents.
- Managing multiple calendars and scheduling meetings, hearings, and conference calls.
- Coordinating travel arrangements and processing expense reimbursements.
- Assisting with trial logistics, including preparing hearing and exhibit binders and ordering court reporters or A/V equipment.
- Organizing client invoices and monitoring billing due dates.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in complex civil litigation as a legal secretary or administrative assistant in a law firm or legal department.
- Proficiency in e-filing on various platforms and a strong understanding of Federal and State rules .
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook . Knowledge of iManage or similar document management systems is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Availability to travel and provide support at off-site trials or arbitrations.
