iR has partnered with a company in SLT, Utah. Our client is looking for two talented Process Technicians with Injection molding experience.
This is an onsite position and both are night shifts- 12 hour rotating schedule.
This position involves providing production support for molding operations under direct supervision. Key responsibilities include setting up equipment and processes, troubleshooting issues, performing basic maintenance, and drafting manufacturing instruction documents.

- Training & Development : Collaborate with the Senior Process Technician to build technical skills and expertise.
- Tool Preparation & Maintenance : Perform daily mold cleanings, stage tools and auxiliary equipment, and ensure all components are ready for upcoming jobs.
- Tool Installation : Install and set up tools following standardized work instructions (STW) and MPLS protocols, including programming ancillary equipment for production readiness.
- Production Support :
- Address and resolve machine alarms through basic troubleshooting.
- Confirm process parameters before startup and ensure validated parameters are maintained.
- Execute machine startups and maintain accurate documentation.
- Monitor molding machines and automated systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Quality Assurance : Work with the Quality department to troubleshoot and resolve part quality issues, ensuring processes meet required standards.
- Optimization : Assist with enhancing part extraction and containment systems, including end-of-arm robot tooling adjustments.
- Process Improvement : Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
- Compliance : Adhere to all safety guidelines, utilize personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow GMPs and company policies.
- Data Management : Enter production data, perform line clearances, and ensure proper documentation at the end of production runs.
- General Support : Perform packer and material handling duties, as well as other tasks assigned by the manager.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Fundamental knowledge of injection molding machines and tooling.
- Experience using an overhead crane for tool setup.
- Familiarity with scientific molding principles and robotic takeout systems.
- Basic blueprint reading skills and an understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- 2+ years in injection molding setup or manufacturing preferred, or
- 1 year of injection molding/manufacturing experience with relevant certification.
