LHH has partnered with a longtime client located south of Seattle in search of a Compliance Manager. Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for ensuring compliance and regulatory adherence? Join this dynamic property management team as a Compliance Manager, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing the LIHTC processing for both new rental applicants and existing residents. As the first point of contact for compliance-related inquiries, you will ensure that the properties meet all federal, state, and agency regulations. What you will do:
- Actively manage the compliance of the properties' LIHTC program.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with various housing regulatory agencies and the rules and regulations.
- Oversee the preparation, transmission, reconciliation, and monitoring of all certifications, ensuring all related deadlines are met.
- Direct and review tenant certifications and re-certifications, along with all related paperwork.
- Prepare and/or monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
- Oversee the collection of annual income verifications across all disciplines.
- Ensure that all tenant and property files are well-organized and in good order.
- Organize data and prepare reports for property tax exemptions.
- Serve as a resource for staff, management, and other departments by responding to questions on policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Oversee and review initial resident files to ensure 100% compliance with requirements.
- Attend seminars and training sessions related to the position as directed.
What you need:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 4+ YOE in affordable housing, auditing, or other related area, which must include a working knowledge/experience with the Low Income Housing Tax Credit.
- Prior supervisory and/or management experience.
- Ability to plan, organize, and conduct audits.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- Demonstrated record of team building, leadership and professional achievement.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Strong knowledge of Washington Landlord/Tenant and Fair Housing Law.
