Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Epileptologist to join our team as a Medical Director. This is an exceptional opportunity for a medical professional transitioning from clinical practice to a leadership role in industry. The Medical Director will play a pivotal role in guiding clinical strategy, overseeing clinical trials, and contributing to the development of innovative therapies for epilepsy and related neurological disorders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Strategy Development:
  • Provide medical and scientific expertise in the development of clinical strategies for epilepsy and related neurological disorders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement clinical development plans.
  • Clinical Trials Oversight:
  • Serve as the medical lead for clinical trials, ensuring scientific integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee protocol development, study design, and data analysis.
  • Monitor patient safety and manage medical queries during clinical trials.
  • Regulatory Affairs Support:
  • Contribute to regulatory submissions, including Investigational New Drug (IND) applications, New Drug Applications (NDAs), and other relevant documentation.
  • Represent the company in meetings with regulatory authorities and key opinion leaders.
  • Scientific Communication:
  • Develop and deliver scientific presentations, publications, and educational materials.
  • Act as a key spokesperson for the company at scientific conferences, industry events, and advisory boards.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including research organizations, healthcare providers, and patient advocacy groups, to ensure alignment and drive clinical programs forward.
  • Leadership and Mentorship:
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to clinical and medical affairs teams.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the medical department.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Medical Doctor (MD) degree with board certification in Epileptologist.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 years of clinical practice as an Epileptologist, with a strong track record of patient care and research in epilepsy.
  • Experience in clinical trial design, implementation, or participation is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is a plus but not required.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex clinical data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Leadership capabilities with a collaborative approach to cross-functional team environments.
