Our client, a Medical Center facility under the aegis of a California Public Ivy university and one of largest health delivery systems in California, seeks accomplished Healthcare IT Infrastructure Project Manager .

- Onsite role with some ability to work from home.
- Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (with some occasional exceptions).
Description:
- Involves managing technical projects having a defined beginning and end.
- Manages the project's framework processes and methodologies involving departmental or cross-functional teams.
- Plans, coordinates and monitors scope, requirements, schedules, budgets, resources, tasks, risks, staff, and deliverables.
- Monitors the project from initiation through completion.
- Organizes and leads activities relating to the management and completion of projects.
- Applies skills as a seasoned, experienced technical project management professional with a full understanding of project management frameworks and methods, relevant policies, and procedures to resolve a wide range of issues.
- Demonstrates competency in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions.
- Manages projects of diverse scope, size, impact, budget and / or project team size.
- 60% - Leverages previous experience in construction/renovation projects and applies professional project management and IT concepts and department policies and procedures to manage complex projects. Experience across a wide IT spectrum (Network, Wi-Fi, Telephony, Audio Visual, Workstations, Printers, Cabling, OSP, etc.) of technologies, related to medical devices requiring IT infrastructure and participate as a member of the construction/renovation team to ensure IT infrastructure standards are delivered in the project(s).
- 10% - Implements the project management process in support of products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams. Monitors and reports on project progress from initiation through delivery, including oversight of system integration, project and communications, interaction with vendors and managing risk. Creates project proposals and reports.
- 10% - Assembles and directs moderate to large project teams, designs project plans and schedules and monitors budget and resources. Directs the activities of the project with the goal of completing the project on schedule and within budget constraints.
- 10% - Works in partnership with the construction/renovation, architects, low voltage designers and contractors, Engineering and Maintenance, Security, end user and support departments, clinical technology, radiology and clinical systems teams (and others) to ensure that the IT Infrastructure components required for the project are planned and implemented to support all technology needs during the renovation project(s).
- 10% - Oversees deployment of all IT components / solutions on schedule and on budget as part of the construction/renovation project(s).
Qualifications:
- Requires ability to assess needs for IT products and design services to meet those needs.
- Working knowledge of technology-related initiatives and an understanding of impact to the organization of such initiatives.
- Demonstrated advanced organization and project management skills.
- Demonstrated effective writing skills.
- Broad knowledge of technology-related initiatives and an understanding of impact to the organization of such initiatives.
- Knowledge of most aspects of computing and communications including hardware infrastructure, networking, software, operations, and disaster recovery.
- Proven leadership ability. Effective problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to put forth persuasive arguments.
- Experienced IT infrastructure project manager that also has a background in the planning and execution of construction/renovation projects.
- Experience in inpatient/ambulatory patient care areas, renovations, department moves.
- Certificates: PMP preferred but not required.
- Preferred: Demonstrated competency in selecting and implementing project management methods and techniques.
