Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Bethlehem, PA area
Travel: 5-25% (Global)
Overview:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development of new products from ideation to production launch and optimize manufacturing processes for existing products. This role focuses on designing robust processes, managing automation projects, and driving global production improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective manufacturing input for new and existing product initiatives.
- Develop and implement lean, innovative manufacturing processes, including tooling and fixture design.
- Drive automation initiatives, from design through steady-state production, to enable cost reductions and efficiency gains.
- Create and maintain process standards, including work instructions, PFMEAs, control plans, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Lead cost reduction efforts through product design optimization, process improvements, and sourcing strategies.
- Research and implement new production technologies and facilitate best practice knowledge transfer.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience preferred (all levels considered).
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and effective communication abilities.
- Experience with equipment/process design and troubleshooting is a plus.
- Willingness to travel globally (5-25%).
