(Your Company Name) is seeking a Director of Clinical Documentation Integrity to lead our efforts in optimizing clinical documentation and enhancing operational excellence. What You’ll Do:
- Serve as a clinical consultant and subject matter expert on documentation integrity.
- Engage and educate clinicians to ensure best practices in clinical documentation.
- Lead initiatives in denial management, coding optimization, and CDI program redesign.
- Collaborate across teams including care management, utilization review, and quality assurance to align documentation practices with organizational goals.
What We’re Looking For:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- RN or Medical Doctor preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in clinical documentation integrity within a healthcare provider setting.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Expertise in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, HCC, and modifier coding.
- Strong understanding of acute and ambulatory care documentation.
- Proven ability to engage clinicians and deliver impactful education programs.
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) credential.
- One coding certification: CIC, CCS, CMS, RHIA, or RHIT.
