We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher (SY 24-25) for our high school center base program. This program has about 10 students (with multiple disabilities) that require more services and support than typical SPED students.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' needs.
- Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and specialized tools, to support student engagement and success.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to integrate students into inclusive classrooms where appropriate.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on progress and address concerns.
- Monitor and assess student progress, making necessary adjustments to instruction and goals.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and safe classroom environment.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in special education.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a valid Special Education Teacher License in CO
- Experience working with students with diverse needs, including autism, learning disabilities, or behavioral challenges.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student growth.
