Buckland is looking for an Inside Sales Representative

What you’ll be doing

This position is responsible for supporting external Sales in the ongoing development of existing and prospective customers to ensure the department meets its growth targets. The Inside Sales Representative is crucial in driving sales and customer satisfaction within the customs brokerage industry. To be successful in this role, the Inside sales Representative must be proactive and customer-centric focused.

You will be responsible for

  • Produce proposals tailored to prospective clients' needs and actively participate in marketing campaigns and qualifying leads.
  • Liaise with clients, lines of business, and other stakeholders maintaining relationships.
  • Handle client inquiries, cultivate new relationships, and transform them into sales opportunities.
  • Tailor and deliver sales presentations for potential small to midsize clients.
  • Address and resolve issues that arise during the quoting and onboarding process.
  • Negotiate rates and terms with clients and service providers.
  • Maintain the CRM capturing engagement with both new and existing clients and produce weekly and monthly ad-hoc and scheduled reports.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Apply your skills with Microsoft utilizing programs such as Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrate your meticulous attention to detail by ensuring accuracy and decision making.
  • Driven by results working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain a well-organized calendar to balance meetings, tasks, and future initiatives.
  • Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.

What we need from you

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field.
  • Customs Certified Specialist (CCS) Designation is an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Customs Brokerage and/or logistics industry.
  • Proven track record in sales, preferably within the logistics or customs brokerage sector and support a fast-growing sales team.
  • Knowledge of customs legislation, tariff schedules, and trade agreements.
  • Demonstrate ability to onboard customers.
  • Intermediate in MS Office knowledge.
  • Familiar with operating Customs Brokerage software and Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Possess strong customer service skills.
  • Strong English and Spanish verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times.
  • Valid Passport and ability and desire to occasionally travel if required to other offices locations in CAD/USA/MEX.
