Responsibilities:
• The role involves assessing patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records. This includes collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans, addressing barriers to patient participation and self-management. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, promoting patient education, and using motivational interviewing techniques to encourage patient engagement.
The position emphasizes patient-centered care, ensuring efficient patient flow, protecting patient rights, and providing culturally sensitive care. The role requires active participation in process improvement, resource management, and team collaboration. Additionally, the position includes mentoring new staff, ensuring clinic operations run smoothly, and seeking continuing education to maintain competency.
Skills & Requirements:
- Successful completion of Medical Assistant Core Skills and specialty-specific competencies.
- Ability to float between different locations within the assigned region.
- Knowledge of standards of care, policies, and guidelines.
- Professionalism and ethical behavior in clinical practice.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant from an approved organization
- BLS (AHA)- Required

- NCMA (National Cert Med Assistant) - National Center for Competency Testing
- NRCMA (Nat Reg Cert Med Assistant) - National Association of Health Professionals
