Summary

We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Process Engineer, Assembly opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for administering, formulating, and implementing engineering-related activities to support the manufacturing plant operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support the Production facilities in the areas of production constraints and/or limitations in the areas of the bill of materials, deviations, line layout, tooling, and fixturing for efficient and on-time product build and delivery.
• Support the facilities as required through contact with vendors to ensure the quality of the product being received and produce matches that are supplied by Engineering standards and specifications.
• Support all plant initiatives in the areas of Kaizen, Quality, efficiency, cost reductions, delivery, safety, and performance.
• As required, provide specialized support to the areas of Plating and PVD based on current process analysis for the improvement of efficiency and absorption as well as the reduction of scrap value.
• Support engineering and process assembly operations through the conception, development, and release of new products and technologies.

Education, Skills, and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Mechanical Engineering) with experience in the manufacturing environment preferred.
• 1+ years of work experience in an Engineering Department can include co-op and internship experience.
• Ability to develop, analyze, and implement corrective actions to improve/correct manufacturing operations.
• Proficient in the use of personal computers, and Microsoft Office Programs, particularly Excel.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• Experience with drafting programs is also a plus.
• Must have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various levels of the organization.
