Job Title: Production Manager

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage production activities at our manufacturing facility in Southern Illinois. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production processes while managing a team of production staff and collaborating across various departments to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day production operations to ensure products are manufactured on time, within budget, and to quality specifications.
- Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
- Monitor and improve production processes, optimizing efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors and staff, ensuring high levels of performance and morale.
- Work closely with engineering, quality control, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth production operations.
- Manage production costs, including labor, materials, and overheads, to meet budgetary goals.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Track and report on key performance metrics, such as production output, efficiency, and quality rates.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- years of experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proven ability to improve production efficiency and quality.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality control methods.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and manage production schedules effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems or other production management software.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards in manufacturing environments.
