Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Southern Illinois, USA

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage production activities at our manufacturing facility in Southern Illinois. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production processes while managing a team of production staff and collaborating across various departments to meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day production operations to ensure products are manufactured on time, within budget, and to quality specifications.
  • Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Monitor and improve production processes, optimizing efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors and staff, ensuring high levels of performance and morale.
  • Work closely with engineering, quality control, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Manage production costs, including labor, materials, and overheads, to meet budgetary goals.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics, such as production output, efficiency, and quality rates.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • years of experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proven ability to improve production efficiency and quality.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality control methods.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions and manage production schedules effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems or other production management software.
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards in manufacturing environments.
