This pivotal role focuses on procurement for categories such as machining, MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations), and welding services supporting upstream activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing initiatives tailored to field operations.
- Conduct competitive bidding processes efficiently.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders across various departments for strategic sourcing needs.
- Negotiate contracts ensuring optimal quality, delivery schedules,
price points and service levels align with company requirements.
Education :
* Undergraduate degree related to Engineering, Industrial Distribution,
Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.
Experience :
* Minimum 3 years' experience in Strategic Sourcing including RFQ/RFPs
and reverse auction execution is essential.
* Proficiency analyzing large data sets using Excel among other analytical tools required.
* Proven track record calculating total cost ownership for goods/services necessary.
Preferred Expertise:
* Prioritize candidates who have sourced equipment repair/maintenance,
rentals or general MRO materials previously advantageous but not limited too this area only .
Certifications (if any):
Professional certification like Certified Professional In Supply management adds value however it isn't solely relied upon .
Skills Explained:
Strategic Sourcing: Implementing effective strategies that improve supply chain efficiency through careful supplier selection and contract negotiation tactics will be key aspects of your role
Analytical Tools Utilization : Using sophisticated software solutions like Excel etc., you'll analyze complex datasets enabling informed decision-making crucially important here
SAP Systems Familiarity: Experience working within ERP systems such SAP particularly Ariba variant provides leverage when integrating procurement workflows into broader business practices effectively
Lean Sigma Six Certification : Green Belt status indicates mastery over process improvement techniques which could prove highly beneficial during continuous vendor performance enhancements tasks undertaken regularly
