Someone with system ownership/infotainment experience. Infotainment is a must have. Someone that has down feature ownership, requirements/specification writing and someone that has written test cases. ECU development is required. Must have testing experience, fully onsite position. Looking or 2+ years of experience, but more experience is better. Titles to consider: he said system integration engineer but you could find feature owner, system engineer owner. Automotive background or someone that has worked in commercial vehicle industry.
Job Description
- Support the System Owner for Infotainment and Feature Owner for Truck App Portal, focusing on requirements and specification creation (50%), project coordination (30%) and validation (20%).
- Align, create, and manage functional requirements and specifications.
- Write functional, HMI, and feature specifications while ensuring traceability of requirements through the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with global Daimler Truck business units and stakeholders to ensure requirements are well-defined, understood, and aligned across teams.
- Conduct component verification and validation activities to ensure system and feature functionalities meet requirements.
- Oversee project responsibilities, including stakeholder communication, milestone planning, and risk management, to meet on-time delivery goals.
- Coordinate work packages, schedules, and supplier interactions to ensure project alignment and smooth delivery across global teams.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience:
- 1-3 years in systems engineering with a focus on requirements engineering and systems integration.
- Experience with infotainment system (radios, multimedia, CarPlay, Android Auto, phone connectivity, …)
- Education: Minimum of a BA in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering.
- Technical Skills: Experience with requirements management tools (such as DOORS) and project tracking tools like Jira. Knowledge of version control (GIT) and CI/CD tools like Jenkins is a plus.
- Preferred Experience: app store-related projects
