RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions, collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
• Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
• Ability to balance multiple projects or tasks while effectively prioritizing to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This strategically and recognizes when it’s necessary to dig into details.
• Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors and referring complex matters to the appropriate staff when needed.
• Assist with employee relation issues.
• Conduct onboarding and training, including all new hire paperwork (I-9).
• Assist with open enrollment and benefits inquiries.
• Conduct Exit interviews as needed.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations. Recommend best practices, reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Assist with employee recognition programs.
• Ability to create and run payroll reports.
• Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5+ years of well-rounded HR experience
• Working knowledge of ADP or similar payroll system
• Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Must be flexible, self-directed and able to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
• Advances computer skills, proficient in MS Office & Excel.
