Job Description

Position Title: IT Administrative Assistant

Duration: 6+ month - contract to hire

Location: Montgomery, AL (Onsite)


Position Description

The IT Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the IT section, handling procurement, service desk support, office administration, and team coordination. This role requires problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with IT procurement, vendor quotes, purchase requests, and invoices.
  • Monitor and resolve Service Desk issues.
  • Handle office administration tasks, including calendar management and onboarding/offboarding.
  • Support a team of 21 employees and assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).


Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Service Desk software, Adobe Acrobat, and workflow systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized with time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in administrative support, scheduling, document management, and procurement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality.


Experience Required:

  • 3+ years of administrative support experience.
  • Experience supporting IT teams or departments.


Education Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
