Position Overview: Our client is looking to hire an experienced and highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong focus on HVAC design. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing HVAC systems, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and a demonstrated ability to lead projects from concept through completion. A Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Analysis: Lead the design and analysis of HVAC systems for commercial and industrial projects. Ensure designs meet client specifications, code requirements, and industry standards.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, architects, and clients to ensure project success.
- Technical Expertise: Provide expert technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams. Review and approve HVAC design calculations, equipment selections, and system layouts.
- AutoCAD and Revit Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for the creation and modification of detailed HVAC drawings and models. Ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and national building codes, as well as industry standards and best practices.
- Client Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any questions or concerns and ensuring their requirements are met.
- Documentation: Prepare and review project documentation, including design reports, specifications, and project proposals.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HVAC design and engineering. Proven track record of successful project management and delivery.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
- Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) certification is highly desirable. Other relevant certifications are a plus.
