Job Description: Field Service Technician/Sales Engineer
We are seeking a Field Service/Sales Engineer with expertise in high-voltage systems, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), and servo motors to join our team. This role involves direct customer interaction, troubleshooting, and field service support across the Midwest and Southeast regions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VFD wiring, setup, and programming, as well as strong skills in electrical and controls troubleshooting and has worked with conveyance solutions in the raw meat industry. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- VFD Setup and Troubleshooting: Wire up VFDs, navigate the full VFD menu, and adjust parameters to ensure optimal ONE MOTION MAG DRIVE function.
- Technical Support and Customer Training: Serve as a liaison for a dedicated group of OEM customers, offering guidance on ONE MOTION MAG DRIVE applications and programming. Train customer teams, including mechanical designers, technicians, and maintenance personnel, on programming and troubleshooting ONE MOTION MAG DRIVES.
- Field Service and Diagnostics: Travel to customer sites to assess applications, identify issues, and perform installations and repairs as needed. Collaborate with in-house teams to confirm specifications and customer needs for more complex applications.
- Post-Sales Support: Act as an aftermarket technical resource, assisting customers with product integration and resolving operational issues. Maintain customer relationships, manage orders, and follow up on service calls.
- Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair ONE MOTION MAG DRIVES and VFDs, ensuring efficient operation and providing technical insights for long-term solutions.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage systems and VFD programming.
- Knowledge of servo motors, gearboxes, and electrical controls.
- Basic PLC troubleshooting skills – ability to diagnose and communicate issues (programming not required).
- Ability to read mechanical designs and interpret electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of hygienic conveyance solutions, especially in poultry and meat manufacturing settings
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on field-based solutions.
- Familiarity with OSHA and other safety regulations.
- Field experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment, particularly in the poultry industry or OEM machine installation, is a plus.
Additional Information:
- This role requires approximately 50% travel, primarily within the Midwest and Southeast regions.
- The candidate must be comfortable spending initial training time in Arkansas.
