Onsite 4 days a week in Atlanta, 30309*

Contract with potential conversion


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead and manage a large team on a complex software development transformation project or program. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, and a proven ability to drive successful project outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Development: Proactively lead and coach teams to deliver high-quality solutions, fostering best practices and addressing team needs.

• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Business and IT stakeholders, ensuring expectations are managed and relevant updates are communicated effectively.

• Facilitation: Lead and facilitate meetings and workshops, including Requirements Workshops, Design Meetings, and Scrum Ceremonies.

• Backlog Management: Partner with the Product Manager and team leads to ensure requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and estimated, including identifying dependencies.

• Support & Execution: Provide support to Product and Project Managers to ensure deliverables are clearly outlined, understood, and executed successfully.

• Change Management: Lead change management activities to ensure a smooth transition to new systems and processes.

• Impediment Resolution: Facilitate discussions to address roadblocks and ensure impediments are resolved in a timely manner.

• Scrum Coordination: Coordinate scrum teams and facilitate ceremonies, maintaining adherence to agreed-upon standards and procedures.

• Reporting & Documentation: Recommend tools, standards, and metrics for project reporting; update project documents such as project plans, communication plans, RAID logs, and status reports.

• Administrative Support: Provide support for other project activities, including recruitment, onboarding, time tracking, and invoicing.

• Risk Management: Proactively manage team-level risks and issues, escalating them as needed.

• Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as required by the role to support the success of the project.


Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience delivering projects using both Agile and Waterfall frameworks within relevant industries.

• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, production change management, and IT tools and techniques.

• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams effectively.

• Certifications: PMP, Scrum Master, or SAFe certification is required.

• Tools Proficiency: Experience with MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office tools.

• Technical Background: A technical background is a bonus.
